REPUBLIC ACT NO. 828 - AN
ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION,
MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF MEDICAL, FIRE-FIGHTING, CRASH, RESCUE
STATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER FACILITIES NEEDED BYRPORTS, AND OTHER
PURPOSES |
Section 1. The
following sums or so much thereof as may be necessary are hereby
appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise
appropriated for the acquisition, construction, maintenance and
operation of fire-fighting facilities inrports under the jurisdiction
of the Civil Aeronautics Administration: I. For the first classrports (Manila and Cebu) A. MANILA 1. Equipment � a. One fire crash truck P120,000.00 b. One fire crash truck 50,000.00 c. Three asbestos clothings at P450 each 1,350.00 d. Ten sets of fireman's coats, helmets and boots at P500 each P5,000.00 e. One ambulance 10,000.00 f. Office and medical equipment 1,000.00 ���� 187,350.00 ======== 2. Personnel � a. One assistant fire chief 2,400.00 b. Four pump operators at P1,800 7,200.00 c. Seven firemen and rescue nozzlemen at P1,800 12,600.00 d. Four driver-firemen at P1,800 7,200.00 e. One doctor 3,720.00 f. One nurse 2,400.00 g. For the thirteen second classrports (Bacolod, Iloilo, Baguio, Davao, Legaspi, Daet, Cagayan, Laoag, Zamboanga, Naga, Dumaguete, Tacloban and Tagbilaran) 1. Equipment � a. Thirteen fire crash trucks at P50,000 each P650,000.00 b. Thirteen asbestos clothings at P450 each 5,850.00 c. Thirty-nine sets fireman's coats, helmets and boots at P500 each 19,500.00 ���� 637,350.00 ======== 2. Buildings � a. For the construction of thirteen buildings P52,000.00 ���� 52,000.00 ======= 3. Personnel � a. Thirteen fire crew chiefs at P1,920 24,960.00 b. Thirteen driver-pump operators at P1,560 20,280.00 c. Twenty-six nozzlemen at P1,560 40,560.00 d. Fuel and supplies 26,000.00 ���� 26,000.00 ======= Total for thirteen second classrports 857,870.00 ���� Grand total P1,200.000.00 ========== Provided, That the Civil Aeronautics Administrator may use any savings in the appropriation for equipment, representing the difference between the amount appropriated and actual cost, to increase the appropriation for other equipment, and may use any savings in sundry expenses for anyrport to augment the appropriations for sundry expenses for such otherrport orrports as in his judgment shall require the use of such savings. Sec. 2. The sum of one hundred ninety-six thousand four hundred pesos or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby authorized to be appropriated annually commencing with the fiscal year nineteen hundred and fifty-three to nineteen hundred and fifty-four (July 1, 1953 to June 30, 1954), and every fiscal year thereafter, for the purpose of continuing the activities authorized under the provisions of this Act. Sec. 3. The balances of the funds appropriated in this act for personnel and sundry expenses remaining unexpended on June 30, 1953, shall be reverted to the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund in the National Treasury. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: August 14, 1952 |
