REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5138 - AN ACT
EXTENDING THE BENEFITS OF SECTION FIVE OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SIX
HUNDRED AND TEN TO MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO WERE IN THE SERVICE BETWEEN
JULY FOUR, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX AND JUNE THIRTY, NINETEEN
HUNDRED AND FIFTY, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN LIMITATIONS

Section
1. The provisions of existing law to the contrary
notwithstanding, and subject to the limitation hereinafter provided,
the provisions of Section five of Republic Act Numbered Six hundred and
ten shall apply to officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines who were in the active service between the period of July
four, nineteen hundred and forty-six, and June thirty, nineteen hundred
and fifty: Provided, That said officers and enlisted men are not
receiving similar benefits under existing Philippines laws or under
laws of the United States administered by the United States Veterans
Administration. Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted without Executive
approval, June 17, 1967. |
