REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4871 - AN ACT
CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF MIDSALIP IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL
SUR

Section
1. Barrios Midsalip, Guma, Bakahan, Guinabot,
Kamaron, Lumpanid, Lumangoy, Dumalinao, Boloran, Sawa, Sominot,
Bolobohan, Balonai, Timbaboy, Ganipay, Matalang, Sigapod, Duilic,
Pawan, Dakayakan and Pisompongan, all of the Municipality of Ramon
Magsaysay, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, and Barrios Pili, Cabaloran,
Ecuan, Golictop, Guitalos and Licoro-an, all of the municipality of
Dumingag, same province, are hereby separated from the said
municipalities and constituted into a distinct and independent
municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Midsalip, Province of
Zamboanga del Sur. The seat of government of the new municipality shall
be in the present site of Barrio Midsalip. The municipality shall be bounded as follows: "Beginning from point 1, intersection of latitude 7 58' and longitude 123 23'; thence due west until it intersects longitude 123 10' called point 2; thence due north following partly the provincial boundary between Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur until it intersects latitude 8 06' called point 3; thence due east until intersects latitude 123 23' called point 4; thence due south back to point 1, point of beginning." Sec. 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the municipality shall be elected in the next general elections for local officials and shall have qualified. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted without Executive
