REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2314 - AN ACT
PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF AN EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IN
THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAASIN, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE
SOUTHERN LEYTE EMERGENCY HOSPITAL AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF
FUNDS THEREFOR |
Section 1.
There shall be under the supervision of the Director
of Medical Service an emergency hospital in the Municipality of Maasin,
Province of Leyte, to be known as the Southern Leyte Emergency
Hospital. The site shall be determined by the Municipal Council of the
Municipality of Maasin in consultation with the Director of Medical
Services. Sec. 2. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty: Provided, That no amount herein authorized to be appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that a suitable hospital building is available. Such sums as may be necessary for the same purpose in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon the date
the funds authorized herein to be appropriated are provided for. Approved: June 19, 1959 |
