REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2955 - AN ACT
AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-THREE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX |
Section
1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Twenty-three
hundred forty-six is amended to read as follows: "Section 1. The
transfer of the franchise granted to the Evening News Publishing Co.,
Inc., by Republic Act Numbered Thirteen hundred thirty-seven in favor
of the Inter-Island Broadcasting Corporation, together with all the
rights and privileges of, including any channel and/or frequency
assignments and permits that may have been granted to the former, is
hereby authorized and approved; and a franchise to construct, operate
and maintain radio broadcasting and television stations under the same
terms and conditions established in said Act is hereby granted to the
Inter-Island Broadcasting Corporation, subject to the conditions that
such franchise shall be void unless the construction of at least one
radio broadcasting station or one television station be begun within
two years from the date of approval of this Act."
Sec. 2. The title of the same Act is amended to read as follows: "An Act authorizing and approving
the transfer of the franchise granted to the Evening News Publishing
Co., Inc., by Republic Act Numbered Thirteen hundred thirty-seven in
favor of the Inter-Island Broadcasting Corporation, granting the latter
corporation a franchise to construct, operate and maintain radio
broadcasting and television stations."
Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect as of June twenty, nineteen hundred fifty-nine. Enacted without Executive
approval, June 19, 1960. |
