ACT CREATING A SEPARATE HIGHWAY AND PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEERING DISTRICT
FOR THE SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OF BOHOL

1. Any provision of law to the contrary
notwithstanding, all the municipalities in the second congressional
district of the Province of Bohol, except the municipalities of
Balilihan and Alburquerque, are hereby constituted into a separate
highway engineering district and a separate public works district. The
municipalities of Balilihan and Alburquerque shall continue to be
included in the first highway and the first public works engineering
district: Provided, however, That such two municipalities may be
transferred to the highway and public works districts herein created or
constituted, by the Secretary of Public Works and Communications at any
time after June thirty, nineteen hundred seventy-one: Provided,
finally, That said municipalities shall be transferred, and shall
become part of the highway and public works engineering districts
constituted under this Act from July one, nineteen hundred and
seventy-three unless earlier transferred pursuant to the preceding
proviso. Sec. 2. There shall be a highway district engineer and a public works district engineer and such other personnel as may be necessary, who shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws. Sec. 3. The office of the highway district engineer shall be in the Municipality of Carmen, Province of Bohol; the office of the public works district engineer shall be in the Municipality of Tubigon, same province. Sec. 4. The present personnel and the property of the highway district engineer in said Municipality of Carmen and those of the public works district engineer in said Municipality of Tubigon shall respectively be transferred to the highway and the public works engineering districts constituted herein. Sec. 5. Any existing executive or department orders inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed. Sec. 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted without Executive
