REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2389 - AN ACT
INCREASING THE NUMBER AND SALARIES OF AGENTS IN THE NATIONAL BUREAU OF
INVESTIGATION |
Section 1. The
Division of Investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation shall
have one chief to be known as the Chief, Investigation Division and
Evaluation Officer, whose annual salary shall be six thousand two
hundred forty pesos. He shall be assisted by fourteen supervising
agents each of whom shall receive six thousand pesos per annum who may
be assigned heads of district offices of the bureau and such other
duties as the Director of the National Bureau of Investigation may
assign. There shall also be fourteen senior investigation agents each
of whom shall receive five thousand seven hundred sixty pesos per
annum, and one hundred seven investigation agents whose salaries shall
be as follows: Thirty-seven investigation agents, five thousand three hundred seventy-six pesos per annum each; Five investigation agents, four thousand eight hundred sixty pesos per annum each; and Sixty-five investigation agents, four thousand one hundred eighty-eight pesos per annum each. Sec. 2. Provisions to the contrary notwithstanding, investigation agents shall receive the salary rates provided for in this Act without prejudice to benefits they may receive under Reorganization Plans Nos. 1-A and 2-A, regarding classification and pay, and other salary laws. Sec. 3. In addition to such sums as may have been provided in the current Appropriation Act, there is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sums as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. Henceforth, appropriation to cover salaries of investigation agents as herein provided should be carried in the annual General Appropriation Acts. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 20, 1959 |
